Gluten Free Apple Crisp

Going to the apple orchard is a fall family favorite outing, but making homemade apple crisp after is the real treat! Try this delicious apple crisp by using the Abundant Life Foods All-purpose Flour– it’s also great for making sweet breads, cakes and cookies. Enjoy!

Gluten Free Apple Crisp


6 medium tart cooking apples, sliced (4 cups)

3/4 cup packed brown sugar

1/2 cup Abundant Life Foods Gluten Free All-purpose Flour

1/2 cup gluten free outs

1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened

3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Dash of ground nutmeg

*optional Whipped cream or gluten free Ice cream for topping


  • 1 Heat oven to 375ºF. Grease bottom and sides of 8-inch square pan with butter or shortening.
  • Cut apples in pieces and spread into 8×8 inch square pan
  • In medium size bowl, stir in remaining ingredients until well mixed; sprinkle over apples. For best results, use room temperature butter.
  •  Bake about 30 minutes or until topping is golden brown and apples are tender. Serve warm with cream or ice cream.
