Gluten Free Apple Crisp
6 medium tart cooking apples, sliced (4 cups)
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup gluten free outs
1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Dash of ground nutmeg
*optional Whipped cream or gluten free Ice cream for topping
- 1 Heat oven to 375ºF. Grease bottom and sides of 8-inch square pan with butter or shortening.
- Cut apples in pieces and spread into 8×8 inch square pan
- In medium size bowl, stir in remaining ingredients until well mixed; sprinkle over apples. For best results, use room temperature butter.
- Bake about 30 minutes or until topping is golden brown and apples are tender. Serve warm with cream or ice cream.
